Lovely as always to read about Paris Hannah. I’m glad you managed to find some moments of light during this awful time.

Darling Hannah!

The words of Lennons " Imagine",resonate always. The human beings who dream of a world of tolerance, joy and Altruism must hang on to the hope that others truly will join us and the world can be as one" As Sally Bowles said in the rather terribly pertinent "Cabaret" It isnt that long a stay!

Beautiful writing as always. Special love during these shameful and frighhtening times, i

"...is also the sound a duck makes in French)."

That's funny!  I'm sure the French think a duck saying "quack" is as strange as a bunny, and not a bell, bringing chocolate at Easter: https://www.thisamericanlife.org/148/the-angels-wanna-wear-my-red-suit/act-five

As far as the forever religious war in the Middle East, "haters gonna hate, and innocents are going to suffer and die." There is no solution. Even in homogeneous groups purity tests will continue the carnage. Human beings are a defective life form.

Better to focus on beauty and joy. I watched a French film from 1950 last night,"Casque d'Or"

Just a wonderful film about forever love. It featured a young and very beautiful Simone Signoret as the tragic heroine.

As impactful as an ending as I have ever seen, yet their love continued.

In this movie, Simone Signoret is the twin of my wife when we met; not just looks, but mannerisms. The happy moments in this movie were like reliving our courtship; which continues still.
